Warm, nostalgic, and rooted in legacy, 1131 Trinidad Ave NE is a hand-poured soy candle inspired by a home that held generations together. With comforting notes of crisp apples, cinnamon, and spiced strudel, this candle smells like walking into a kitchen where something sweet is always in the oven and love lingers in the air.
Named after a once-rough street in Washington, DC, this candle honors the home of my great-grandparents, Martha and Herschel Woodson. Martha, a devoted maid who cleaned homes with pride, and Herschel, a retired Army veteran and Buffalo Soldier, built a sanctuary filled with resilience, warmth, and joy. No matter what the outside world looked like, their home was safe, welcoming, and full.
Light this candle and you’re transported back to that kitchen—where the air carried hints of crisp apples, cinnamon, banana bread, fresh cookies, and laughter shared over good food. 1131 Trinidad Ave NE isn’t just a scent; it’s a memory, a tribute, and a reminder that love can turn any house into a home.
